Apple Vision Pro Partners with Sony for PSVR 2 Controllers

The Apple Vision Pro couldn’t get more deals like other Apple products because of its poor gaming ecosystem and high price tag which is around $3,500. Now they are ready to make a difference and enter the gaming world with Sony. With this collaboration, users can expect something new and more advanced than the previous one.

Apple Vision Pro PSVR 2 Controllers

Mark Gurman from Bloomberg mentioned that the upcoming Sony Collaboration Vision Pro will be compatible with the Sony PSVR 2 hand controllers. Until now, customers couldn’t buy the PS5 second generation by themselves, but with the new deal, Sony will start selling their PSVR 2 controllers via Apple’s store and online storefront.

After they decided on the partnership, Sony worked on improving the PSVR 2 controller for Vision Pro. Currently Vision Pro supports Xbox controllers and PS5 DualSense. Also, they sell their Vision Pro with some third-party accessories. Even though they collaborated with Sony for better experiences they still didn’t pay much attention to the games yet. As per the Gurman Apple discussed the gaming plans with third-party developers and asked them to support in gaming development process. Till then users can experience some early-designed visionOS games.

The announcement about new controllers with Apple Vision Pro has to be made earlier but because of some reasons, it is yet to be revealed. Also, Apple expects to utilize the controllers not only for gaming purposes but also for other things. While they mainly focus on the gaming stuff, controllers will control visionOS and some programs like Adobe Photoshop and Final Cut Pro. Using these apps with Vision Pro Eye and hand tracking may be doing good but doesn’t hit the level they needed.

Since the Vision Pro launched, it lacked a VR controller and finally, they gave their attention to that part. PSVR 2 sense controllers are one of the best in this field and they are reported for their high selling records.

As per the report, Vision Pro only sold around half a million units and even though people buy it they use it less than other Apple devices. But with proper support, it will be the favorite one among users. Apple continuously invests in headset improvements.
