Apple iPhone is one of the best phone models in today’s world, and it rarely requires repairs. However, the process of preparing your iPhone for the service lacks complications. Here, we are going to give a guide to prepare your iPhone for repairs.
When You Go to the Store:
- First, back up your device to iCloud or iTunes.
- Then you have to turn off your device on your phone. To do that, go to settings in iCloud and then tap on Find my iPhone and turn off the toggle. This requires your Apple ID.
- Remove the cards from the Apple Cash and disable them.
- Remember your Apple ID password; maybe the technician will ask for some checking.
If it is necessary to make an appointment before going, do it and bring all the necessary items with you when you go. Among them,
- Your receipt, device, and other accessories. And your personal ID.
This is enough because you didn’t leave your device in the store. If you plan to give your phone to a store for some big repair and if they require some days for it, you have to do some more things.
When Send-out:
- Unpair your Apple Watch and iPhone.
- Do a backup to iCloud or iTunes.
- Disable the Find My Device feature.
- Then erase the device data. You can do this in Settings->General->Reset.
- Remove the screen protector, and if you have a SIM card, remove it also.
Backup Using iTunes
- First, update iTunes for the latest version.
- Then connect your phone to the computer.
- Then choose the Backup.
Backup using iCloud
This is a good option for users who are looking for wireless and automatic backup. For that,
- Settings->iCloud and then storage & backup.
- If the backup is disabled, enable it.
- Then tap on Back Up now.
Reset the Phone
- With this, your iPhone completely deletes all the things in it and deactivates the iCloud and other associated services.
- Before that, do the backup and secure the important details.
When you are going to repair, ensure to go to a good authentication repairing center and prepare the iPhone as we said before.
