Apple says that new rules from the European Union will make phones less safe than before. The DMA or EU’s Digital Market tries to introduce new controls and make more choices for the customers.

In this case, for Apple company that includes a lot of changes. Now they allow users to use alternative app stores to download different apps. With these apps, one can use alternative payment methods to get the payments. Apple says that they comply with these new rules. But also, they said these rules can bring new dangers for users.
They say that these alternative app stores push people toward unsafe new technologies, even if they don’t like to use them. As an example in school or work apps, they can give some choices to download these apps in alternative stores, but the process would be unsafe.
Until this happens, the iPhone can only download the apps that get approval from Apple. Also, the purchase can only be made through Apple’s own payment system. Apple published a whitepaper, about how they will try to protect their users from cyber-attacks and other malware risks with this new system. also, they mentioned even with this they are unable to protect users completely from the risk.
With this new system, they say that they will introduce a new baseline review program to review all apps. Also, this new baseline didn’t check the app content. Now they begin to show pop-ups when they try to download any app outside the App Store or make a payment outside the Apple payment system.
