Start with Intego
Anybody can download Intego very easily and start a free trial. You have to install your bought serial number at the beginning of the process. As with other antivirus, this requires Full Disk Access and other essential permissions. But this requires a restart at installation. When you download and set up, it is ready to go.
When you click on the Intego icon in the menu bar you can see three components. They are NetUpdate, NetBarrier, and VirusBarrier. The NetUpdate manages the malware definition and product updates. The NetBarrier is the firewall. The VirusBarrier is the main event.
In the main window, you can see quick access to real-time protection, scheduled scanning, and other browsing.
NetBarrier
You can open it from the screen icon. When you first launch it, it asks you to set your current network as Home, Work, or public hotspot. Also, they display an overlay showing all the product’s main features. If you close it quickly, you can get it back by clicking the help link. In the home or work mode, the firewall simply accepts any network traffic other than unsolicited connections. In the Public Hotspot mode, the unsolicited local traffic is also blocked.
When you use Home mode you can share any function as a server, and use the file-sharing feature. But when it comes to work mode it also displays a query and asks for approval. In the Public Hotspot mode, it asked for access, even for Chrome internet browsing. You can see previous URLs as well.
